N-Type silicon has fewer impurities than p-type PERC silicon, which results in higher cell efficiency, a lower temperature coefficient (less output lost on hot days), better low-light performance, and a longer useful lifespan due to reduced light-induced degradation (LID). In practical terms, you get more usable energy per square foot over the life of the panel.
Both are accurate but measure different things. The 25% figure is the N-Type cell efficiency — how efficiently the solar cells themselves convert sunlight. The 20% figure is the module efficiency — the power output relative to the total panel area, including the frame and gaps. Module efficiency is always lower than cell efficiency because the frame takes up space that produces no power. Both numbers are verified from manufacturer and dealer sources.
