Shipping policy
Last Updated: May 23, 2026
At TrueStead Supply, we proudly offer free shipping on all orders shipped within the contiguous 48 US states.
We sell a wide range of products for self-reliant properties and homesteads, including water systems, power equipment, greenhouses, livestock protection products, food preservation equipment, and related accessories.
Shipping methods vary depending on the size, weight, and type of product ordered. Smaller items may ship via standard parcel carriers such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS, while larger products may ship via LTL freight carriers.
1. Shipping Coverage
- Free shipping applies to orders shipping within the 48 contiguous United States only.
- Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, remote areas, or limited-access locations may require additional shipping charges.
- If additional shipping charges apply, we will contact you for approval before processing the order.
- International shipping is not currently available.
2. Shipping Timeframes
Most in-stock items ship within 5–8 business days. Certain products, including oversized, made-to-order, custom, or specialty items, may require additional processing or lead times.
Estimated shipping timelines are provided as general estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to manufacturer backorders, carrier delays, weather events, supply chain disruptions, or other circumstances outside our control.
3. Shipping Methods & Delivery
- Smaller products typically ship via UPS, FedEx, USPS, or similar parcel carriers.
- Larger or heavier products may ship via LTL freight carriers.
- Freight deliveries are generally curbside delivery only unless otherwise stated on the product page.
- Drivers are typically not responsible for moving products inside homes, garages, or onto property.
- Customers are responsible for ensuring adequate access and unloading capability for freight deliveries.
While we proudly offer free shipping within the contiguous 48 United States, certain oversized, overweight, or specialty freight items shipping to remote areas, limited-access locations, or requiring special delivery accommodations may incur additional shipping charges. If additional freight charges apply, we will contact you for approval prior to processing the order.
4. Freight Delivery Appointments
Freight carriers typically contact customers directly to schedule delivery appointments. Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information and coordinating delivery timing.
Missed delivery appointments, storage fees, redelivery fees, or reconsignment charges imposed by the freight carrier may be the responsibility of the customer.
5. Delivery Inspection Requirements
Freight shipments must be inspected at the time of delivery before signing the delivery receipt. Parcel shipments should also be inspected promptly upon arrival.
Please inspect shipments for:
- Damaged packaging
- Dents, punctures, or crushed areas
- Visible product damage
- Missing items or incorrect quantities
Customers should take clear photos of all packaging and products upon delivery.
If visible freight damage exists:
- Note all damage clearly on the delivery receipt
- Take photos immediately
- Retain all packaging materials
If severe freight damage is present, refuse delivery and note: "Refused due to damage".
Failure to properly inspect and document freight damage at delivery may result in denied freight claims.
6. Concealed Damage
If concealed damage is discovered after delivery, customers must notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and supporting documentation.
Claims reported after 48 hours may be denied by the freight carrier or manufacturer.
7. Property Access & Site Preparation
Customers are responsible for ensuring their property is accessible for freight delivery where applicable, including adequate driveway access, unloading capability, and safe delivery conditions.
TrueStead Supply is not responsible for failed deliveries caused by inaccessible roads, limited-access properties, unsafe unloading conditions, or customer inability to receive freight shipments.
8. Installation & Compliance
Customers are solely responsible for:
- Hiring qualified installers where required
- Obtaining permits or inspections
- Ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations
- Safe installation and operation of purchased products
TrueStead Supply does not provide engineering, electrical, plumbing, permitting, or structural design services unless explicitly stated in writing.
9. Risk of Loss & Force Majeure
Risk of loss and ownership transfer pass to the customer upon delivery by the carrier.
TrueStead Supply shall not be liable for shipping delays or delivery issues caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including carrier delays, severe weather, labor shortages, supply chain disruptions, or other force majeure events.
