Shipping & Delivery

Shipping & Delivery

At TrueStead Supply, we specialize in delivering high-quality infrastructure equipment — including water systems, power solutions, land management tools, and more — directly to your property. Because many of our products are large, heavy, or freight-class items, our shipping process is designed to be clear, reliable, and aligned with industry standards.

Where We Ship

  • United States Only: We ship exclusively within the United States using U.S.-based warehouses and suppliers.
  • 48 Contiguous States: Most products include free or flat-rate freight shipping.
  • AK/HI, Remote Areas: Shipping availability and pricing may vary. Please contact us before ordering.

Shipping Times

Most in-stock items ship within 2–5 business days. Larger systems, made-to-order equipment, or specialty items may require additional lead time, which will be shown on the product page.

Once shipped, you will receive tracking information and the carrier will contact you to schedule delivery.

Delivery Method (Freight & Curbside)

  • Freight Delivery (Standard): Most orders ship via LTL freight carriers.
  • Curbside Delivery: Delivery is made to your driveway or curb — carriers do not move items inside your home, garage, or property.
  • Liftgate Service: Typically included for residential deliveries when required.
  • Unloading Responsibility: The customer is responsible for moving the product from the delivery location to its final placement.

Important: Many products (generators, water systems, tractors, wood processors, etc.) are heavy and may require equipment (forklift, tractor, multiple people) to safely unload.

Upgraded Delivery Services

White-glove, inside delivery, or special handling services are not standard but may be available on select products upon request. Please contact us prior to ordering to arrange and receive a quote.

Delivery Inspection (Critical)

All shipments must be inspected at the time of delivery and before signing. This is required by freight carriers and manufacturers to process any damage claims.

What to Check

  • Damaged packaging (dents, holes, crushed areas)
  • Visible product damage
  • Correct items and quantities

Take clear photos of all packaging and items during delivery.

Delivery Scenarios

  • No Visible Damage:
Accept delivery and note: "Subject to inspection / possible concealed damage".
  • Minor Damage:
Accept delivery and note: "Damaged – pending inspection".
  • Severe Damage:
Refuse delivery and note: "Refused due to damage".

If the driver does not allow inspection, write: "Driver did not allow inspection" on the delivery receipt.

Concealed Damage

If damage is discovered after delivery, you must notify us within 48 hours.

Email info@truesteadsupply.com with photos or video documentation.

Claims submitted after 48 hours may be denied by the carrier.

Incorrect, Missing, or Damaged Orders

  1. Note any damage on the delivery receipt
  2. Take clear photos of packaging and product
  3. Do not install or use the item
  4. Keep all original packaging
  5. Contact us within 48 hours

We will coordinate directly with the carrier and manufacturer to resolve the issue.

Freight Appointments & Responsibility

Freight carriers will contact you to schedule delivery. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate contact information and coordinate delivery timing.

If the carrier cannot reach you, delivery may occur without a signature and will be considered complete. Responsibility for the shipment transfers to the customer at that time.

Missed appointments, re-delivery attempts, storage fees, or accessorial charges may be billed to the customer.

Important Notes for Large Equipment

  • Ensure your property is accessible for freight trucks
  • Confirm you have proper equipment or assistance for unloading
  • Review all product manuals before installation
