The converter requires a 120 VAC receptacle within 36" of the unit and installation near the batteries and 12 VDC distribution panel where appropriate. Rich Solar specifies an interior mounting surface out of direct weather, at least 1" of free air space at each end for cooling, minimum 8 AWG copper wire for the stated bonding-lug and 12 VDC wiring connections, and installation by a certified electrician.
