The Rich Solar RS-K502 is a small 12V solar charging kit without batteries for DIY off-grid, auxiliary charging, small cabin, shed, gate, trailer and other small compatible battery-charging applications. It includes one 50W monocrystalline solar panel, one 20A MPPT solar charge controller, red and black panel-to-controller cables, red and black controller-to-battery cables, one Z-bracket mounting set and one 10A inline fuse holder with fuse. The included panel provides 50W rated solar output, while the controller supports 12V or 24V auto-recognition and compatible sealed, gel, flooded and lithium battery options when configured according to the controller instructions. Batteries, battery box, additional overcurrent protection, grounding, mounting structure, weatherproof cable routing and final system setup must be selected or verified for the specific installation. This kit is best used where a compact panel and MPPT controller are needed, not where a complete inverter-and-battery power system is required.
The RS-K502 is designed as a compact solar charging package for users who already have, or plan to select, a compatible battery separately. It includes the panel, controller, wiring, brackets and inline fuse holder needed for a basic planned solar charging setup, but it does not include a battery, inverter or complete enclosure system.
The included MEGA 50 panel is a 50W 12V off-grid solar panel built with tempered glass and an aluminum frame. Rich Solar lists 0~+5W guaranteed positive power output, pre-drilled mounting compatibility and a 10A maximum series fuse rating for the panel. Verify the exact IP-rating language from the current Rich Solar specification sheet before publishing a blanket IP67 claim.
The included 20A MPPT controller automatically recognizes 12V or 24V DC system voltage and supports selectable charging profiles for compatible sealed, gel, flooded and lithium battery setups when configured according to the controller instructions. It includes an LCD screen, LED indicators, RS232 communication for a BT-1 Bluetooth module and electronic protection features documented in the current Rich Solar controller manual.
The RS-K502 includes 20-foot red and black #10 gauge solar cables for connecting the panel to the controller, 10-foot red and black #10 gauge battery cables for connecting the controller to the battery, one Z-bracket mounting set and one 10A inline fuse holder with fuse. Final cable routing, strain relief, fuse placement, battery connection, mounting surface and weather exposure should be verified before installation.
